After graduation, I stayed in Los Angeles to attend a workshop held by Judith Weston, author of “Directing Actors.” And I stayed in Kagoshima to study the sword art of Jigen-ryū.
At the age of 29, I suddenly had a mysterious psychological crisis, and in my anguish, I had a strange encounter with Gregory Bateson’s writings. Since then, I have been reading books on biology, mathematics, logic, philosophy, religion, anthropology, psychiatry, and family therapy, etc., with the sole purpose of understanding Bateson.
I am continuing my quest.
I opened this blog to publish what I can out of my thoughts.
The site’s title, “Vestigium,” is Latin for “footprint.”
